Hiawatha Trail - Fall Back into Nature Run - Sat. Sept. 27th
Marathon, 1/2 Marathon & 10K run on this historic Rail Trail. Park at East Portal to start your run going through the signature 1.66 mile long St. Paul Pass Tunnel. Yes lights are required. All courses are Out & Back. Event put on by Negative Split Timing. The Hiawatha Trail will be closed to bicyclists on this date and only employees and emergency staff will be rideing the trail on Sept. 27th.

2026 All Summer $5 HOT DOG DAYS - EVERYDAY!
Enjoy a tasty $5 HOT DOG (or a few) when you arrive at the bottom of the Hiawatha ride in Pearson, Idaho. Just $5 and you can enjoy a Hot Dog available every day of the season.
Remember to put a CC or some cash in your pocket before leaving the Taft trailhead parking lot for your ride.
$5 Hot Dogs available 11am to 4pm (or while supplies last) at Pearson the bottom of the Hiawatha Trail.

Guests will all meet at the East Portal between 7:30 & 7:40 pm (PST). to sign release paperwork etc and to break into ride groups. We shoot to have the first group starting by 8 to 8:15pm
If you need a Rental Bike they will rent for their regular rate for the night ride. Extra lights are also suggested two lights are better than one on a night ride. To rent an extra light or secure a rental bike tell our staff this information when making your Full Moon Night Ride Reservation. Bikes, Helmets, Lights and the upgrade package goods will be picked up by guests at the East Portal (aka Taft Trailhead) when signing their release paperwork.
DO NOT go to Lookout Pass as no one will be working there after 6 pm. Come straight down I-90 to Exit 5 and then proceed up FS Route 506 (a dirt road - go across the bridge), then after ~ 1.5 miles make a left into the East Portal Trailhead and park there. Gather your gear and meet us at the registration tents.
Ride will start at ~ 8 to 8:15 pm with 2 to 3 staggered groups stretching out as needed about 15 minutes apart. (All times are PST even though the ride starts in MT it quickly passes into ID for the bulk of the ride). Guides will take groups of 20-25 at a time.
Rental Bikes, Lights & Helmets are all additional if needed and will be transported for your ride out to the registration point at East Portal.

Guests can purchase Lift Ride Tickets at the Food Service cashier in the Lodge. Lift will run as needed for guests.
Lookout Pass 2026-27 Season Pass Holders & Hiawatha Trail 2026 Season Pass Holders can ride the chairlift on these dates at no cost. Must show your Season Pass to the Ticket Cashiers. Need to pick up your 26-27 Ski Lookout Pass Season Pass - Please stop down to our Season Pass & Lift Ticket Office to get your photo taken and pass issued before going upstairs to show your pass for a free scenic ride ticket.

HIAWATHA RIDERS JULY 4th WEEKEND SPECIAL
All Hiawatha riders visiting from July 4th weekend qualify for a discounted $10 Scenic Chairlift Ride at Ski Lookout Pass. Simply show your reservation paperwork, or bring the Hiawatha ticket you purchased to the Lookout Cashier in Food Service and she will issue you a $10 SCENIC LIFT RIDE TICKET. Ticket is valid any of those 4 days. July 4, 5, 6, or 7, 2025. Lift rides are available 10a to 3p (PST) on these four dates. Regularly Priced at $16 for Ages 13 +, or $12 for ages 5 to 12.
July 3-4-5, 2026 MILITARY SPECIAL - FREE Scenic Chairlift Rides at Ski Lookout Pass for Active, Reserve or Retired Military with appropriate Service ID. - Military Family members or a military member guest will qualify for a discounted $10 Scenic Lift Ride Ticket as well when accompanied by a military member.

If you already have your 2026-276 Ski Lookout Pass Season Pass, or if you want to buy or pay off your pass that you have on layaway that day you too can get a FREE ticket to Ride The Hiawatha Scenic Bike Trail on DATE TBD.Was Aug. 24, 2025!
Simply show your pass at our Season Pass Ticket office and they will issue you a Trail Pass for the day. A Shuttle Pass is needed and costs $20 for ages 13 + and $16 for Ages 5-12 years. Rental bikes also available for purchase if needed.
DATE TBD - Was Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025 - SUPPORT THE WALLACE FOOD BANK! Bring 7 Non-Perishable Food Items for the Wallace Food Bank to the East Portal between 8:30a - 1:30p to receive a complimentary shuttle voucher. Or to just help the cause. Most desired items: Peanut butter, canned tomato products, boxes of instant oatmeal packets, Instant Potato Packets, boxes of cold cereal as well as separate containers of fresh fruit and vegetables. These along with any non-perishable food item donations or cash contributions are greatly appreciated. A Shuttle Pass is needed and costs $20 for ages 13 + and $16 for Ages 5-12 years. Rental bikes also available for purchase if needed.
In exchange for guests dropping off [7 non-perishable food items]. We'll provide those Food Bank supporters with a Free Shuttle ticket. Please be generous. We greatly appreciate your compassion for those less fortunate.

Any person with a pass valid for this date can receive a FREE Bicycle Bell (while supplies last).

Fire, Ambulance, Police/Sheriff & Highway Patrol will get a FREE Trail Ticket for the day. Simply present your official ID to our Season Pass/Ticket office and you will receive a FREE Trail Pass for the day. A Shuttle Pass is needed and costs $20 for Ages 13 + and $16 for Ages 5-12 years. Rental bikes available at regu;ar rate if needed. (Full moon night ride not included in the free trail ticket offer).

PARKER SUBARU, CDA CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY on the Hiawatha! 2026 Date TBD
Drive to the CDA Dealership before the event to snag a FREE Trail & Shuttle Ticket for the famed Hiawatha Scenic Bike Trail. Ticket is only valid for that particular day (While supplies last - tickets are limited).
The Hiawatha Scenic Bike Trail is Open May 22 2026, 7 days a week thru September 20, 2026. Early fall is a great time to be out on the trail with cooler temps, and with kids back at school, the trail is a little calmer.
