Show your 2024-25 Season Pass at our Season Pass ticket office at Lookout Pass and our Ticket Staff will issue you a Trail Pass for the day ($20 Value). Rental Bikes & Shuttle Passes not included but available for purchase if desired.
Sunday Sept. 8th - All Military branches (Active, Reserve & Retired with valid service ID) Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines & Coast Guard + the following First Responders:
Fire, Ambulance, Police/Sheriff & Highway Patrol will get a FREE Trail Ticket for the day. Simply present your official Service ID to our Season Pass/Ticket office and you will receive a FREE Trail Pass for the day ($20 Value).
Rental Bikes & our Shuttle bus ride back up from the bottom of the trail in Pearson, ID back up to the Roland, ID Trailhead are available for purchase at their regular rates if desired.

Thursday, JUNE 6, 2024 - SUPPORT THE WALLACE FOOD BANK!
Bring 7 Non-Perishable Food Items for the Wallace Food Bank to the East Portal between 8:30a - 1:30p to receive a complimentary Shuttle Voucher. Or to just help the cause.
Most desired items: Peanut butter, canned tomato products, boxes of instant oatmeal packets, Instant Potato Packets, boxes of cold cereal as well as separate containers of fresh fruit and vegetables. These along with any non-perishable food item donations or cash contributions are greatly appreciated.
In exchange for guests dropping off [7 non-perishable food items]. The Route of the Hiawatha will provide those Food Bank supporters with a Free Shuttle ticket for a standard bike. Specialty bikes or oversized bikes will still need to pay any additional costs to have their bikes transported.
Please be generous. We greatly appreciate your donations, generosity and compassion for those less fortunate.
Hiawatha Trail Back to Nature Run - June 9th
Full or 1/2 Marathon 50K, 25K, 15K, 10K run on this historic Rail Trail. Park in Taft, MT. Take a short shuttle ride up to the East Portal to start your run going through the signature 1.66 mile long St. Paul Pass Tunnel. Yes lights are required. Courses are all Out & Back. Put on by Negative Split Timing.
JUNE 16 - FATHERS DAY - All Fathers can enjoy a FREE Hot Dog when yoou reach the bottom of the trail and are accompanied by a Child or your Spouse to vouche for you.

2024 FULL MOON NIGHT RIDES are: CANCELLED !
(Due to US Forest Service construction plans they have issued an evening road closure all along the trail as they do work inside all but the first tunnel. Work is scheduled from 6p to 6a every day. We had hoped we could work with the FS & their chosen contractor to possibly host one or more of the FULL MOON NIGHT RIDES this summer. Till we know more they are officially CANCELLED! In the mean time full refunds will be awarded for any we can not provide, or you can work with our reservations team to reschedule for a day ride date or reservation. Your option. We are still holding out hope that we might be able to host one of the later dates but wanted you to be fully aware). We'll continue to update as we learn more. Last updated: 6/12/2024.

Rides usually sell out so please reserve early.
Guests will all meet at the East Portal between 7:30 & 7:50 pm (PST). to sign release paperwork etc and to break into ride groups. We shoot to have the first group starting by 8 to 8:15pm
If you need a Rental Bike they will rent for their regular rate for the night ride. Extra lights are also suggested. To rent an extra light or secure a rental bike tell our staff this information when making your Full Moon Night Ride Reservation. Bikes, Helmets, Lights and the upgrade package goods will be picked up by guests at the East Portal (aka Taft Trailhead) when signing their release paperwork.
Do not go to Lookout Pass as no one will be working there after 6 pm. Come straight down I-90 to Exit 5 and then proceed up FS Route 506 (a dirt road - go across the bridge), then after ~ 1.5miles make a left into the East Portal Trailhead and park there. Gather your gear and meet us at the registration tents.
Ride will start at ~ 8 to 8:15 pm with 3 to 4 staggered groups stretching out as needed about 15 minutes apart. (All times are PST even though the ride starts in MT it quickly passes into ID for the bulk of the ride). Guides will take groups of 20-25 at a time.
Rental Bikes, Lights & Helmets are all additional if needed and will be transported for your ride out to the registration point at East Portal.

Enjoy a $4 tasty HOT DOG (or a few) when you arrive at the bottom of the ride in Pearson, Idaho. Just $4 and you can enjoy a Hot Dog(s) available every day of the season.
Remember to put a CC or some cash in your pocket before leaving the Taft trailhead parking lot for your ride.
$4 Dogs available 11am to 4pm (or while supplies last) at Pearson the bottom of the Hiawatha Trail.

HIAWATHA RIDERS JULY 4th WEEKEND SPECIAL
All Hiawatha riders visiting from July 4th thru July 7th qualify for a discounted $10 Scenic Chairlift Ride at Ski Lookout Pass. Simply show your reservation paperwork, or bring the Hiawatha ticket you purchased to the Lookout Cashier in Food Service and she will issue you a $10 SCENIC LIFT RIDE TICKET. Ticket is valid any of those 4 days. July 4, 5, 6, or 7, 2024. Lift rides are available 10a to 3p (PST) on these four dates. Regularly Priced at $16 for Ages 13 +, or $12 for ages 5 to 12.
MILITARY SPECIAL - FREE Scenic Lift Rides for Active, Reserve or Retired Military with appropriate Service ID - Family members or a guest will qualify for $10 Scenic Lift Ride Tickets.

Drive to the CDA Dealership before the event to snag a FREE Trail & Shuttle Ticket for the famed Hiawatha Scenic Bike Trail. Ticket is only valid for that particular day (While supplies last - tickets are limited).
The Hiawatha Scenic Bike Trail is Open 7 days a week thru September 15th. Early fall is a great time to be out on the trail with cooler temps, and with kids back at school, the trail is a little calmer.
