NOTICE TO ALL ROUTE OF THE HIAWATHA USERS

The Route of the Hiawatha Trail remains OPEN.

However, the United States Forest Service has requested that all trestle walkways and bridge walkways along the route be closed.

A trestle remediation and repair plan is currently underway as part of a larger USFS infrastructure improvement project. For your safety and the safety of work crews:

• Stay on designated riding surfaces only 
• Do NOT enter closed or barricaded areas 
• Obey all posted signs, fencing, flagging, and staff instructions 
• Use caution around active work zones and maintenance equipment 
• Parents are responsible for supervising children at all times 

These restrictions are in place for public safety and to support ongoing preservation and improvement efforts on this historic trail corridor.
